Sypar is the result of the digital and artificial transformation. The founding partners, Diogo Pereira Coelho and Alberto José Figueiredo, have been following the rapid digital and artificial evolution for around a decade. Early on, both identified the revolutionary potential of Web 3.0. In 2017, after some time following and studying the phenomenon of «blockchain» and «cryptocurrencies», they launched their first project together, dubbed «Dr. Crypto». Dr. Crypto was one of the first channels for sharing information related to this type of areas in Portugal, essentially using the social network Twitter (currently called «X»). Although Dr. Crypto was a short-lived project, it led to some curious interactions, including with some well-known players in the ecosystem at the time, such as John McAfee, for example. The project was interrupted for academic and professional reasons, but it was not forgotten. From 2017 until 2023, both founding partners have relentlessly sought to train and acquire both professional and academic experience in dealing with matters related to digital and artificial transformation, not aiming to relaunch Dr. Crypto or another information sharing channel, but with a view to create a more demanding, robust and comprehensive corporate and business project. Sypar therefore presents itself as a professional services company and specialize in strategic, tax and regulatory consultancy on projects related to digital and artificial transformation. This is a multidisciplinary, pioneering and inevitable project, which results from the combination of the multiple professional and academic skills of both founding partners. The history of Sypar is, therefore, inseparable from the professional and academic lives of its founders. With the combined skills and efforts of both founding partners and all collaborators, Sypar aims to respond to the demands of Digital Law and New Technologies, marked both by the eclecticity of the different legal branches that comprise it, and by the increasingly high level of specialization they require.
